Our Method
People do not change because they are told to. They change because they did something. Every N°9 Roads engagement teaches by doing — not by instructing. We call this Moving Change.
Our assessments check your start state, measure consistency, and pulse check for real and lasting change.
Our method is delivered through communications experts, behaviorists, and a faculty of master makers: international craftspeople whose living crafts serve as the classroom for human skill development.
A winemaker teaches patience and discernment. A Nonna teaches care and presence. A Feng Shui expert teaches how to harness and use your energy. A curandera teaches deep listening. An aromatherapist teaches regulation via scent.
The craft is the doorway; the human capacity is the lesson; the hands are where it lands.
The Five Movements structure every session: Arrive → Make → Notice → Map → Carry. Each movement has a defined purpose, a facilitation approach, and a measurement point.
THE NINE ROADS
We start by learning everything about where you are beginning, and by teaching you how to see yourself and others through the lens of Nine Roads. The Nine Roads are nine fundamental orientations drawn from the enneagram — nine ways that people move through the world, handle pressure, make decisions, and respond to care.
The Architect, The Nurturer, The Success, The Artisan, The Genius, The Detective, The Visionary, The Protector, and The Peacekeeper all have special roles to play, and need to learn and take people in differently.
CONSISTENT TRAINING
Every person on a service team and every person being served is traveling one of these roads. Knowing which road someone is on is the difference between a generic interaction and a human one. When all of the people in an organization receive the same training in the same language, their service feels like coming home.
Our training is designed to teach, and to credential and certify the people who learn so that they can create consistency and stability inside organizations and for customers and stakeholders.
RESET IN RETREAT
In conversation after conversation with clients, we’ve begun to notice that beneath the busyness, the organizational change, the uncertainty and even the excitement of technologies like our clients ask a quieter question. We don’t offer retreats about wellbeing or personal development, mindfulness or resilience. Those are the outcomes of a rested person.
Our retreats are multi-sensory remembering who we are before the world tells us who we should be. We don’t promise improvement – we promise reconnection, and improvement becomes automatic as a result. We meet a much deeper need.
